Exploring: Toronto

Hello! It's been a long time since I was last here, but I'm back!
I just finished some adventures and I'm starting some new ones, so I'll have plenty to keep it fresh in this tiny corner of the internet.

Where was my last adventure?

I'd never been to Toronto, or even Canada, before last week. I'd only heard rave reviews from everyone I know who's visited, so I was very excited. I had a lot of recommendations, it was looking to be good weather, and there is a beach! Toronto and everything it had to offer were just as great, if not more, as I expected. If you get the chance to visit, don't pass it up!

To Do:
There is so much to see and do in Toronto. Check out the museums, especially on their discount nights. Take the ferry to the islands, it's only $8 for a return ticket! The view of the Toronto skyline from the island is a can't miss. Check out the Allan Gardens Park & Conservatory and then walk to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to get a bit of civics and history.

To See:
If you don't want to spend money enough for 2 meals on a trip to the top of the CN Tower, check out the rooftop of the Thomson Hotel. You get a great view and the CN Tower is in it! Take a stroll through Grafitti Alley for some of the best insta opportunities. Take a night walk to Nathan Phillips Square to see the giant 'Toronto' light up sign. The letters change colors and it is seriously cool.

To Eat:
The most important meal of my day is brunch. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of my delicious brunches because I had prepared too well to be hungry enough to eat it all! Even without the pics, I highly recommend every place I brunched at in Toronto: The Beaver, Starving Artist, & The Lockhart.
When I wasn't brunching, I was coffee-ing. Toronto has no shortage of local cafés with delicious drinks and treats and creative atmospheres. If Tim Horton's just isn't cutting it, check out Strange Love, FIKA, and Butter Avenue.
& don't forget to try a butter tart!

When you're hungry again at dinner, go to the best ramen place that I have EVER visited: Sansotei Ramen. It's near the Art Gallery of Ontario and, seriously, this was the best meal ever. The broth was delicious, there was just enough spice, there was a WHOLE EGG, and I got a lapel pin that is this ramen.
Another dinner can't miss: doubles. According to Ali's West Indian Roti Shop on Queen St, doubles are 'spicy fried chickpea patties' and according to me they are 'DELICIOUS.' I will warn you though, the spicy doubles are no joke. I only barely kept my dignity when my eyes started watering.

See you soon!
